Popcorn comes from corn seeds. Unlike most grains, corn seeds have a very hard husk that is impermeable to water. Also, the endosperm of corn seeds is made up of high-density starch with a small amount of water and oil—ideally, about 14 percent water and oil.

It's this small amount of water that makes popcorn special. When a corn seed is heated, the water inside it turns into water vapor, but this water vapor cannot penetrate the husk. As the temperature continues to increase, the pressure generated by the water vapor increases, and eventually the starch in the corn seeds melts into a jelly and breaks out of the wall.
At present, big popcorn popper generally has two shapes. One is the "butterfly" popcorn, which has multiple, irregularly shaped "wing" shells. This kind of popcorn tastes more crunchy and is more common in theaters. The other is the "mushroom style" popcorn, which is more like a ball or ellipsoid and has a cottonier texture.

Another characteristic of popcorn is that it makes people thirsty. So if you buy the big popcorn popper that is "standard" for watching movies, you probably have to buy drinks. Generally speaking, customers are not weighing between not buying snacks and buying only a little snacks before watching a movie. Their way of thinking is: no snacks, or a bunch of snacks. Therefore, customers are also divided into two types - those who are willing to buy a lot, and those who are very price sensitive.
When a movie theater prices its offerings at a level that is acceptable to almost all customers willing to spend a lot, they will not attract more customers to buy and sell even if they continue to lower prices. Because for price-sensitive customers, they will only consider buying when the price of the product is even lower than the supermarket price. Obviously, it is not cost-effective to do their business. Therefore, theaters only need to refer to the price accepted by those customers who are willing to spend more and more.
